Inside Sales

All skill levels may apply for the inside sales position.  The inside sales representative will be responsible for taking incoming sales calls from new and existing customers and helping them select the correct machine.


  • Must be able to sell, and eventually upsell
  • Ability to juggle tasks and come back to prior tasks.
  • Extreme attention to detail. 
  • Excellent communicator
  • We will train on the inventory. 

Job Description:

  • Take incoming phone calls from new and repeat customers, 75-80% repeat customers, 20-25% “new” business.
  • Get the correct inventory & information on the contract. 
  • Make sure the customer’s information is accurate.
  • Does the customer have their credit app, insurance, signed contracts, etc? 
  • Double check yard crew put the correct items on the contract.
  • Logistics for machines, properly sizing trucks with machines.
  • Walk the customer through the decision making process of what they want or need. 
  • Eventually, learn the customers and products well enough to upsell the customer to increase the size of the transaction.  They don’t always know what they need, or want. 
  • This position will build a solid base for further career advancement. 

Qualifications for the Heavy Equipment Sales Position

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Must have a Valid New York State (NYS) Driver's License
  • Clark Equipment is a substance free workplace. Applicants must be able to pass a drug test.
  • Applicants must undergo a job related physical
  • Education Level: Associates Degree or higher
